The BDUSM program was developed and designed to ensure that new hire candidates gain the knowledge and skills to successfully perform the duties of Deputy U. S. Marshal.
The training is a three phased program that requires candidates to attend a four-training day Pre-Basic course, the 56-training day Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers’ Criminal Investigator Training Program, and the BDUSM. The BDUSM is 39 instructional days in length (323 course hours).
