Lieutenant Colonel Andrea O’Connor is the Commander of the Office of Special Investigations Academy, Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC), Glynco, Georgia. This Academy trains over 1,000 students annually in basic and advanced criminal and counterintelligence investigations, protective service operations, polygraph examinations, and technical investigative services in support of the Office of Special Investigations’ worldwide mission. In addition to the FLETC campus, the Academy includes the following three other geographically separated units, which embed with key mission partners: the National Security Agency’s Interagency Training Center, Fort Washington, MD; the National Center for Credibility Assessment, Fort Jackson, SC; and the U.S. Air Force Expeditionary Center, Fort Dix, NJ.
Lt Col O’Connor graduated from the United States Air Force Academy in 2002. She attended the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in Glynco, Georgia and became a credentialed federal agent for the Air Force Office of Special Investigations in 2003. Lt Col O’Connor has commanded twice and has deployed twice in support of Operation ENDURING FREEDOM. She was assigned to duties in Germany, Maryland, California, the Republic of Korea, and Japan. Prior to her current assignment, she was the vice commander of the 4th Field Investigations Region, Joint Base San Antonio – Randolph, Texas.
