FLETA Office of Accreditation

Ms. Allen became the Training Accreditation Branch Chief at the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) on January 1, 2023.  While serving as the Accreditation Manager for ATF she was responsible for maintaining the FLETA Accreditation of six programs and was working on obtaining the initial accreditation of two new agency programs.

Previously she worked for the Veterans Affairs, Law Enforcement Training Center (VA LETC) for 17 years serving as an Instructor, Program Manager, FLETA Accreditation Manager, Lead Instructor, and Special Agent.  While working at the VA LETC, Ms. Allen developed, taught, and managed several classes.  She was responsible for maintaining the FLETA accreditation for the LETC Academy and four of its programs.  Ms. Allen was awarded the Special Agent of the Year Award in 2015.

Ms. Allen has served as an Assessor, Lead Assessor, and a member of the Federal Law Enforcement Accreditation Coalition.  Additionally, she served as the chair of FLEAC since April 2020.

Ms. Allen served in the U.S. Air Force on active duty from February 1993 to April 2000 with Security Forces; with the U.S. Air Force Reserves with the Security Forces (SF) and the Office of Special Investigations (OSI) from April 2000 to 2018, when she retired.  During Ms. Allen’s military career, she earned several Achievement Medals and a Commendation Medal.  She received Airmen of the Month while deployed to Prince Sultan Air Base, Saudi Arabia.    

Ms. Allen holds two Associate’s Degrees in Criminal Justice Administration, a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Adult Education.
