The purpose of the CIATP is to provide a body of instruction in behavioral analysis methodologies, research, and techniques to BAU candidates pursuing profiler certification. The CIATP is primarily an instructor-led, classroom based, instructional program with most coursework being offered in-person and some coursework being offered on an FBI approved virtual platform. The CIATP is 77 instructional days and consists of 616 hours of instruction. The average number of students per iteration of the program is eight.
