The FLETA Board had representatives at the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) 123nd Annual Conference and Exposition held in San Diego, CA, October 15-18, 2016.
FLETA Office of Accreditation Executive Director Joseph M. Collins and Program Analyst Stephanie Archbold were on-hand throughout the conference to explain the process, Standards, and benefits of FLETA accreditation.
FLETA is the accrediting body for all federal law enforcement training. FLETA is congressionally funded and OMB directed to enhance the quality of federal law enforcement by setting a set of standards that federal law enforcement training must meet. FLETA was established to provide federal agencies with a voluntary method to assess and improve training in a way that enhances federal law enforcement operations. FLETA is unique because the Standards and procedures allow for agencies to design training to meet agency-specific missions that can vary greatly depending on the regulation or law that the agency is charged with upholding
