FLETA Office of Accreditation Program Managers Jennifer Kasper and Christiana Halsey delivered a FLETA Fundamentals and Accreditation Manager Workshop on March 28-30, 2023, hosted by the Transportation Security Agency Canine Training Center (TSACTC) in San Antonio, TX. Twenty-one participants representing eight different training organizations attended the training. Attendees were from: TSACTC, San Antonio, TX; TSA Academy (TSA-A East), Glynco, GA; TSA-A West, Las Vegas, NV; TSA Training Center (TSATC), Atlantic City, NJ; United States Navy Center for Security Forces (CENSECFOR), Norfolk, VA; Naval Technical Training Center (NTTC), San Antonio, TX; Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) Police, Knoxville, TN; Department of Veterans Affairs Law Enforcement Training Center (VA LETC), North Little Rock, AR; and the Florida National Guard (FLARNG) Multijurisdictional Counterdrug Task Force Training (MCTFT) center, Starke, FL.
FLETA Fundamentals is typically a one-day workshop for delivery to training organization personnel as they prepare and support the organization's accreditation efforts, but may be modified to include: building files, managing annual reports, completing a corrective action plan, and assessing files. The Fundamentals may be delivered in-person or online. Online sessions may be recorded and provided securely to the organization for delivering in-house training or as a reference.
