FLETA Office of Accreditation (OA) Executive Director Joe Collins, Program Manager J.J. Hensley, and Program Analyst James Mays represented the FLETA Board and OA at the International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) 2023 conference in San Diego, CA (October 14-16, 2023). Participation in the event supported the FLETA Board's Strategic Plan. The OA staff communicated the FLETA process, standards, and benefits to federal, state, local, tribal, and international law enforcement professionals, and private vendors. Additionally, the staff fielded questions from members of the international law enforcement community, which included representatives from police organizations based in Nigeria, Kazakhstan, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Colombia, and the United Kingdom, to name a few.
