Instructor Development Course (VA)

The VA LETC’s Instructor Development Course provides appointed VA Police Instructors with the knowledge and skills required to provide specialized quality training. The program includes training in both agency law enforcement policies and procedures, and instructional methodologies.  The Instructor Development Course is designed to prepare a cadre of highly skilled instructors capable of developing and presenting effective training at their stations. In addition, this cadre of instructors provides assistance to the VA LETC in conducting training in the Basic Police Officer Course and other specialty courses.
