
The ITP is designed to meet the training needs of experienced uniformed law enforcement officers as they transition to new positions with investigative responsibilities. The participants are employed by various DOI entities, including the Bureau of Indian Affairs, National Park Service, U.S. Fish, and Wildlife Service, Bureau of Land Management, U.S. Park Police, and tribal departments.
The ITP is six weeks long and is a collaboration between DOI and the Federal Law Enforcement Training Centers (FLETC) Training includes classroom lecture and laboratory exercises with role players and investigative equipment.
